New Council To Meet
West Dunbartonshire Council meets for the first time today after the recent local elections.
The Labour party are back in charge of the local authority, after winning a clear majority of the seats.
Their Group Leader, Lomond councillor Martin Rooney, is expected to be elected as the new council leader at this afternoon's meeting at Garshake.
Meanwhile, Councillor Douglas McAllister, from the Kilpatrick Ward in Clydebank, which takes in Hardgate, Faifley and Duntocher, is expected to become the next Provost of West Dunbartonshire.
