NEW FESTIVAL FOR HELENSBURGH?

Print | Email

Plans to create a Highland Festival in Helensburgh have failed - however Argyll and Bute Council hope this year the town will celebrate the coming of Christmas with a winter festival.

The local authority had set £16,000 aside for Helensburgh to spend on a festival event annually for three years.

But it was vetoed when plans to link - the Helensburgh Highland Games, the Helensburgh Bicentenary Pipeband Championships and Highland Dancing Festival - failed to come together.
