OFFICIAL OPENING FOR INVERCLYDE SCHOOL
Inverclyde's brand new £27m secondary school Clydeview Academy has been officially opened.
The new school was formed by the amalgamation of Greenock Academy and Gourock High School and has been built on the former St Columba's site in Gourock.
The official opening was carried out by former Education and Lifelong Learning Convener Iain McKenzie who was elected Member of Parliament for Inverclyde last year.
Clydeview Academy has state-of-the-art classrooms, library, theatre and science and technology facilities.
Clydeview Academy marks the completion of Inverclyde's £78m PPP Programme that has delivered two brand new primary schools and two new secondary schools for the area.
