Train Disruption Continues

ScotRail today confirmed a derailed freight train and flooding are causing disruption to its West Highland Line services.

Landslips on the West Coast Mainline and East Coast Mainline routes last

night are also affecting England-Scotland services.

Customers are being urged to check live travel updates before setting out -

by visiting scotrail.co.uk/disruption, downloading ScotRail's app by

texting 'scotrail' to 86688, or calling 0845 601 5929.

Alternative transport, including taxis and buses, is being arranged for

customers as Network Rail works to clear the lines.

A ScotRail spokesman said: "We are doing everything we possibly can to help

our customers and have extra staff on hand to help at stations.

"Customers are advised to get up-to-date journey information before

travelling."

The freight train derailed near Corrour and the flooding is near Arrochar.
