Each commercial radio station in the UK has requirements in respect of it's music and local content, such as news, speech content etc. These requirements are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom, the UK's radio regulator.
The YOUR Radio Public File is intended to give you a better understanding of our output and what we are doing for our local community. News Bulletin Schedule: YOUR Radio broadcast locally produced and presented news bulletins on the hour between 7am and 7pm from Monday to Friday and also headline updates on the half hour at 7.30am, 8.30am and 5.30pm. In addition we broadcast national news headlines courtesy of Independent Radio News in London between 8pm and 10pm from Monday to Friday. At the weekend we broadcast local news bulletins between 7am and 11am and national news headlines from 12pm till 6pm. Our YOUR Action and YOUR Events programming features regularly highlights appeals and fundraising events organised to benefit local charities. Recently we have broadcast from the Bobath Scotland Dragon Boat Race on Loch Lomond, The Loch Lomond Highland Games in Balloch, The Pipe Band Championships in Dumbarton, The Loch Lomond Food And Drink Festival and summer Gala Day's throughout West Dunbartonshire in Dalmuir, Dumbarton and Alexandria.
